Historic station accommodation along your cycling route
Morskogen signalman’s cottage is located along Lake Mjøsa, within the grounds of the former railway station. The railway track has been transformed into a cycling path and is now part of the Mjøstråkk route and National Cycle Route 7.
The cottage is in good condition and is owned by the Norwegian Environment Agency. It is managed by Eidsvoll Municipality and Hamar and Hedemarken Tourist Association.
Duvets and pillows are provided, so you only need to bring a sleeping bag liner, or alternatively a sleeping bag. The cabin is locked with the DNT standard key.
There is a beautiful outdoor area along Lake Mjøsa, with benches and a volleyball court. The views are stunning, and there is a 250-metre ascent over 2.5 km along a gravel road up the hillside, leading to marked trails at the top near Ulvintjenn.
The accommodation is open from mid-April to mid-October.
